Catch Up!

I have alot to catch you all up on.  I guess we were busy walking this whole story out and I forgot to let you know what was going on but I will try to do better communicating progress from now on.

June of 2024 Jason interviewed for the position of Chief of an up and coming ambulance service in Vilas County.  Long story short, he got the position and with much prayer along the way, he decided to take it. We purchased a tiny home and he moved to Presque Isle, WI.

We tried living in two different counties for awhile.  He lived in Vilas and I stayed in Wood.  During a fast in January of 2025 the Lord made it clear that we were to sell our home in Wood County and most of our belongings and I was to move up with my husband.

When God is in something, things just seem to happen without alot of effort.  Our house sold very quickly and we hired movers to take the items that we kept and moved them to storage until we found a home or whatever God wanted for us.

We lived in the tiny home(192sqft) together and started the search for the place God had in mind for us.  This was not an easy task.  There were multiple offers that fell through but we knew God would place us exactly where He wanted us.  We found a home in Minocqua in July 2025 and moved in August 4th.

Jason was busy starting up the brand new ambulance service, "Northwoods EMS District" and I went to work on making this new house our home.

Freedom studies were still being taught and retreats had already been planned.  So we figured it out.  We have hosted a couple of different types of retreats since moving into the house and we look forward to many more.

Our new home has so much character and it sits on 40 beautiful, wooded acres.  We kept the tiny home and are using it to bless people that need a space to get away and connect with nature and God.  The plan is to transform the 4 stall garage into a guest bunkhouse, create a camp site for the real adventurists, purchase a large bell tent and build a platform for it, and to build a cabin in another area of the property.  Each of these spaces would be available for friends, family, and ministry partners to use.  We will continue hosting retreats for women and men that have completed the Freedom Studies.  When the property is ready, we would also like to open retreats up to service members of the military, police, fire, and first responders who are in need of respite.

This was alot of information and I hope you were able to keep up with me.  The short of it is that we are still Upper Room Ministry and our plan is to continue everything as usual but in the town of Minocqua.

We pray God's blessings over all of you for supporting us and staying patient with us through all the change.

Jen and Jason Joling
